Business Wire, Nov 10, 1998

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 10, 1998--America Online's Digital City, Inc., and News/Broadcast Network, Inc. (N/BN) have announced agreement for the distribution of News/Broadcast Network 's video and audio news releases through AOL's Digital City programming channels in New York and Washington, D.C.

Additionally, Digital City has developed a new web site for N/BN primarily designed to provide N/BN's clients with expanded, on-demand, distribution for their electronic media projects.

The site will feature print, audio and video news features from N/BN's global client roster and can be accessed through AOL's Digital City at keywords: Digital City, New York or Washington, D.C. as well as directly at www.newsbroadcastnetwork.com. All material will remain resident for thirty days.

The site also includes The Barber Poll - a popular survey of barbers and hairdressers on what their customers are talking about as well as the DuPont "Farm Front Report," a nationally syndicated radio program.

"N/BN has been a pioneer in providing content to broadcast stations for over thirty years. With increasing competition for air-time, and the growth of Internet usage as a consumer outlet, we see the opportunity to provide content to Digital City New York and Washington as a natural extension of our business, and a way of maximizing distribution for our clients," explained Michael Hill, President of N/BN.

Hill adds, "As broadcast media evolve and become increasingly interrelated, it is critical that public relations professionals work with companies that understand the workings of all broadcast media. This new distribution method for N/BN is an unprecedented combination of experience, technological savvy and reach. News/Broadcast Network views the Internet as the third broadcast medium, as vital a component of a media plan as television or radio."

News/Broadcast Network, Inc., broadcast media specialists, provide a wide range of broadcast media services for the public relations industry. Founded 30 years ago, N/BN pioneered the concept of radio news releases, and was the first company with satellite distribution to both radio and TV stations. N/BN services include production and distribution of video and radio news releases, Radio and Satellite Media Tours, production and distributions of PSA's for radio and television, corporate videos and Internet broadcasts. The company has offices in New York City, Chicago, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, Seattle, Milwaukee and Fairfield County, Connecticut.
