Risk Capital Re Names Michael C. Sowa Vice President, Property Underwriting

GREENWICH, CONNECTICUT--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 16, 1998--Risk Capital Reinsurance Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Risk Capital Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: RCHI), has named Michael C. Sowa to the position of Vice President, Property Underwriting.
Prior to joining Risk Capital Re, Mr. Sowa held property underwriting positions with two reinsurers, most recently as Second Vice President for Property Treaty Underwriting at NAC Reinsurance Corporation, where he focused on highly protected risk (HPR), commercial and international property business. Previously, Mr. Sowa was an Account Underwriter at Allendale Insurance with responsibility for Fire and Allied Lines, Boiler & Machinery and Inland Marine business for domestic and international clients. Mr. Sowa began his professional career as a Loss Consultant for Factory Mutual Engineering, the engineering arm of the Factory Mutual system. He holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University.
