Document Sciences Corporation Appoints New Vice President of Worldwide Sales; Daniel J. Fregeau to Lead Worldwide Sales Force

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 17, 1998--Document Sciences, (Nasdaq:DOCX), a global provider of document automation solutions, has announced the appointment of Daniel J. Fregeau to the position of VP of Worldwide Sales.
Effective immediately, Fregeau will be replacing former VP of Sales Thomas J. Anthony. In this new role, Fregeau will be responsible for North American sales, European field operations, Emerging Markets and Business Development, including strategic relations with IBM and Xerox.
Fregeau joined Document Sciences Corporation in January of 1992 as one of its founders, and has served as VP of Sales, VP of Marketing and VP of Business Development, respectively. According to President & CEO Charles R. Harris, "Dan was instrumental in the development of, and now will take a leadership role in, the execution of Document Sciences' new strategy for achieving profitable growth." Capitalizing on the Company's robust technology and domain expertise, this new solution selling model will focus on delivering high-value applications to the Insurance and Financial Services industries, including outsourcing services providers.
