Monarch/ES to Store, Manage and Deliver Critical Report Information On-line; Brings Reports Alive On Screen to Support Queries

and Analyses

Datawatch Corporation (NASDAQ:DWCH), a leading provider of Enterprise Reporting solutions, today announced that two prominent medical schools, Eastern Virginia Medical School and Tulane Medical School, have selected Datawatch's Monarch/ES as their report storage, delivery and analysis solution.

Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) is a private, community-based medical school serving southeastern Virginia. Monarch/ES will store, manage and deliver critical report information using EVMS' existing network infrastructure and the Internet. Monarch/ES will also provide centralized report access to EVMS end-users. Furthermore, Monarch/ES will extend the life of EVMS' legacy reporting system by allowing users to mine, query and analyze existing report data.

"We chose Monarch/ES because it gives us the ability to mine critical business intelligence from any of our standard reports," said Debbie Taylor, director of business and financial information systems at EVMS. "Through Monarch/ES, our queried report data becomes actionable business intelligence, offering our end-users instant access to decision critical information regardless of their physical location. Monarch/ES effectively eliminated custom code jobs, instantly delivering custom reports that would have taken five people seven days to produce and distribute. Monarch/ES puts power in the users hands."

Tulane Medical School selected Monarch/ES to assist its business officers and physicians with their billing and research reporting. Monarch/ES will provide end-users with critical report analysis using Tulane's existing medical and clinical database system. Tulane plans to provide over 400 physicians with access to Monarch/ES.

"Tulane Medical School had been looking for a solution that allowed us to streamline our reporting process and put critical data directly into the users hands," said Tim Riley, manager of data systems at Tulane Medical Center. "Datawatch's Enterprise Reporting system was the ideal tool that could meet our information demands without putting added strain on our MIS department."

"The choice of Monarch/ES by EVMS and Tulane validates our approach to Enterprise Reporting for health care organizations," said Marc Peterson, senior vice president of North American Operations at Datawatch Corp. "The fact that we could provide EVMS and Tulane with an easy to implement and administer system was a key factor in their selection of Monarch/ES."
