Artisoft Announces Participation in the Microsoft Certified Solution Provider Alliance; Artisoft Offers MCSP Special Benefits Under the MCSP Alliance Program
Business Wire, Nov 25, 1998
CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 25, 1998--Artisoft(R), Inc. (NASDAQ:ASFT) announced today its participation in the Microsoft Certified Solution Provider (MCSP) Alliance. The MCSP Alliance, introduced in April, is a Microsoft-sponsored affiliation of product and service companies who are extending specialized offers to MCSPs. As part of this announcement, Artisoft is making its award-winning TeleVantage product available to all qualified MCSPs. Through this alliance, Artisoft joined forces with Microsoft to help increase the availability of PC-based telephone systems and provide MCSPs with educative information on TeleVantage and the expanding Windows NT communications marketplace.
"MCSP Alliance was created to help MCSPs maximize their relationships with other leading software, hardware and services companies," said Juan Vegarra, director, worldwide MCSP program at Microsoft Corp. "PC-based phone systems such as Artisoft's TeleVantage provide our MCSPs with viable cost effective Windows-based telecommunications solutions. We are pleased to have Artisoft on board as a participant in the MCSP Alliance."
Artisoft's TeleVantage provides intelligent call management and messaging features for up to 48 trunk lines and 144 extensions. It is a flexible, upgradable software solution that operates on Windows NT systems and uses off-the-shelf computer, wiring and telephony hardware. When synchronized with networked desktop PCs, TeleVantage enables PC users to see and hear voice messages, graphically manage their own calls and integrate phone and e-mail messaging.
"We are pleased to have been selected to participate in the MCSP Alliance and look forward to deepening our existing relationship with Microsoft through our active participation in this program," said Steve Manson, general manager of Artisoft's computer telephony group. "The alliance is truly a win-win for all parties involved as it helps introduce innovative products to Microsoft channel members whose business strategies focus on technology solutions for Windows-based environments."
