Formtek Appoints New Vice President of Worldwide Sales; IDOM Leader Strengthens Management and Sales Team With Dorosewicz Addition

PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 9, 1998--Formtek Inc., a leader in the emerging integrated document and output management (IDOM) marketplace, today named Tom Dorosewicz as vice president of worldwide sales.
Dorosewicz has over two decades of direct and channel sales and marketing management experience with companies in the software and hardware industries, including MobiNetix Systems Inc., Symbol Technologies Inc., and Fujitsu Systems of America Inc.
"Formtek needed a key person to help fulfill our quest to increase our marketshare and leadership position in the rapidly growing IDOM marketplace," said Dennis Scanlon, president and CEO of Formtek. Dorosewicz, who will report directly to Scanlon, was most recently with MobiNetix Systems, a company that provides systems for conducting electronic transactions. At MobiNetix Systems, Dorosewicz held the position of vice president of sales, marketing and services. In less than two years he grew the business from a startup into a company with over $11M in sales.
In multiple management roles, Dorosewicz also contributed to the growth of Symbol Technologies, from $125M to over $700M in annual revenues in the bar code data capture fields and radio frequency fields.
Prior to that, as a business unit director for scanning at Fujitsu Systems of America, Dorosewicz guided that segment of the business from a startup to a multi-million dollar per year revenue source.
Dorosewicz holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Consumer Economics from the University of Maryland.
