The Cyber Station Chooses Netpodium Software to Add Interactivity to Live Internet Radio Network
Business Wire, Oct 1, 1998
SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 1, 1998--Netpodium, Inc. today announced that The Cyber Station Internet broadcast network, a service of New Media Broadcasting Inc., will integrate Netpodium's Interactive Broadcasting software along with their live programming. Netpodium software will provide a means by which the program hosts can interact with their live Internet audience. Not only will the Cyber Station show host be able to present content that relates to the subject matter being discussed on air, but they will be able to send and receive text messages and poll the audience to better understand their reaction to the show's content. The Cyber Station calls this part of their experience "Cyber @ctive."
"We chose Netpodium for our Cyber @ctive site because it was the most integrated solution we could find," said Chris Nakea, the co-founder and host of the Cyber Station. "This software is adding a whole new dimension to our programming."
Cyber @ctive represents a new trend in broadcasting that involves the audience in ways never before possible before the Internet and software like Netpodium. This trend that Netpodium Inc. calls Interactive Broadcasting combines the delivery of content including live audio and video with real-time interactivity. This interactivity engages the audience and makes them feel they are truly involved in the broadcast. Likewise, the audience feedback gives the speaker or host a unique view of the audience's reaction and feeling toward the subject matter, thus providing the tools to respond more personally to any particular audience member.
The Cyber Station and Cyber @ctive were officially launched today. You can tune in and interact live on the web at www.thecyberstation.com.
