Business Wire, Oct 12, 1998
SAN RAFAEL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 12, 1998--
Kids Can Create And Wear Temporary Tattoos With An Innovative
Print and Peel Material Designed For Palladium By Avery Dennison
Palladium Interactive, the leader in home productivity software, announced today that it has shipped Tattoo Time(tm) for boys and girls, two new CD-ROMs that allow children to create temporary tattoos on the computer and print, peel and apply them using Avery(R) Kids(tm) Temporary Tattoo Sheets.
Both Windows-only products are available nationwide for the estimated street price of $19.99.
Tattoo Time for girls resembles an interactive carrying case of cool and hip temporary tattoos that combine `70s fashion, bright colors and eye-catching patterns. Girls can then add text and graphics. What follows are thousands of possibilities for girls to easily design and share their groovy creations.
Tattoo Time for boys has a futuristic interface of brushed metal and hi-tech panels that reveals a world of spaceships, creatures and sports icons. With a little imagination boys can easily create an entire collection of personalized temporary tattoos.
The new Avery Kids Temporary Tattoo Sheets, developed by Avery Dennison, utilizes an adhesive thoroughly tested for skin safety. Included in both the boys and girls products, the temporary tattoo sheets can safely run through any computer printer.
"Temporary tattoos are extremely popular among kids, and we've developed two products that let boys and girls be hip without any permanent effect - and far less expensively than with conventional temporary tattoos," said Jill Braff, Palladium's vice president of marketing. "Tattoo Time is the first product of its kind that combines the latest printing technology with a safety factor that parents will appreciate."
"We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to design this special new product for Palladium," said Jill Karrenbrock, director of strategic alliances for Avery Dennison Worldwide Office Products. "As a result, Palladium produced a fun, yet safe product, designed with both the parent and child in mind."
Palladium's products are distributed in North America through GT Interactive Software Corp.'s affiliated label program. (NASDAQ: GTIS).
