Outlast Technologies, Inc., Announces Peter W. Gilson's Appointment to the Board of Directors

BOULDER, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 12, 1998--Outlast Technologies, Inc., makers of OUTLAST(R) Temperature Regulation, announces that industry veteran Peter W. Gilson has accepted a nomination to join its Board of Directors.

In his role as a Board member, Gilson will bring his extensive experience in branding, as well as a successful track record in the apparel and textile industries, to help guide Outlast's course as it revolutionizes the outdoorwear and extremitywear markets with OUTLAST Temperature Regulation.

Peter Gilson currently serves as the Chairman and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of Swiss Army Brands, Inc. Prior to this, he was President and CEO of Physician Support Systems, Inc., a company specializing in the management of large physician practices and hospitals that he acquired in 1991. Prior to selling the company in 1997, Gilson increased its revenues from $6 million to $128 million after taking the company public. From 1989 to present, Gilson has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Warrington Group, Ltd., a manufacturer of safety products that was previously a division of the Timberland Company. From 1987 to 1989, Gilson was Executive Vice President of The Timberland Company, a manufacturer of footwear and outdoor clothing. From 1978 to 1987, Gilson served as President of the GoreTex(R) Fabrics division of W.L. Gore & Associates. From 1963 to 1978, Gilson worked for DuPont(R), primarily in international subsidiary management positions.
