Ticketmaster Online Hits a Home Run With Baseball Tickets on the Internet; Padres World Series Tickets to Go on Sale Online Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 6:30 P.M. Pacific

SAN DIEGO--(BW SportsWire)--Oct. 12, 1998--Ticketmaster Online (Nasdaq NM:TKTM) has reported that more than 25 percent of all tickets sold to the Divisional Playoffs and the National League Championship Series at San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium, were sold via the Internet at www.ticketmaster.com. Internet fans purchased more than 20,000 tickets via Ticketmaster Online to the five San Diego Padres games (vs. Astros on Oct. 3 & Oct. 4 and vs. Braves on Oct. 10, Oct. 11, & Oct. 12).

Additionally, Ticketmaster has announced that San Diego Padres World Series tickets are scheduled to go on sale for The Fall Classic on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 6:30 p.m. (PDT) via Ticketmaster Online at www.ticketmaster.com; by calling the Padres' Ticketmaster Charge-By-Phone Hotline at 877/98PADRES; at Ticketmaster retail Ticket Center locations; and at the Qualcomm Stadium box office.
