Risk Capital Re Enters Accident and Health Reinsurance Market

GREENWICH, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--October 13, 1998--
Names Joann L. Deblasis Senior Vice
President, A&H Underwriting
Risk Capital Reinsurance Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Risk Capital Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: RCHI), today named Joann L. DeBlasis to the position of Senior Vice President, Accident & Health Underwriting.
Ms. DeBlasis most recently served as a Vice President managing A&H business at Scor Reinsurance Company. Previously, she was Vice President of Group Underwriting and Marketing at Life Reassurance Corporation of America. She has also held various accident and health underwriting and financial positions of increasing responsibility during a 17 year tenure with the CIGNA group of companies. Ms. DeBlasis began her insurance career with Aetna Life and Casualty as an auditor of medical claim and related operational systems. She holds a CPA designation, as well as an MBA from the University of Connecticut.
