Business Wire, Oct 16, 1998
NEWBURY PARK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 16, 1998--YARC Systems Corp. (OTC BB:YARC) Friday announced that it has commenced selling its new, low-cost, Postscript RIP products for EPSON professional desktop printers from its own Internet Web site using Secured Transaction technology.
"The potential marketplace for these new EPSON inkjet RIPs knows no national boundaries and covers an installed base of tens of thousands of units," said Dr. Trevor Marshall, YARC's chief executive officer.
"Many of the potential customers are not within convenient distance of a local YARC distributor, and some are not comfortable with speaking English. The products may be ordered by following links from YARC's main Web site, http://www.yarc.com, or by accessing it directly using http://SecureShop.yarcrip.com/shop.
> All transactions, especially credit card and personal details, are fully secured using Secure Sockets Technology. Browsers currently supporting this security technology include Internet Explorer 4 and Netscape Navigator.YARC is also offering an "Easy Payment" option for Internet transactions. For example, the RIP for the Epson Stylus Photo EX may be purchased with one single payment of $480 or two easy payments of $249, billed at 30 day intervals.
Details on the new products were announced in a news release dated October 12, 1998, which may be accessed from the URL, http://www.yarc.com/press.htm.
