Greenleaf Nursery Chooses J.D. Edwards' OneWorld to Provide Enterprise-Wide Solution; Change of Seasons Marks Change in ERP Software at Greenleaf Nursery
Business Wire, Oct 19, 1998
DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 19, 1998--Enterprise business software provider J.D. Edwards & Company (Nasdaq:JDEC) today announced that Greenleaf Nursery, the third largest wholesale growing tree, shrub and bush nursery in the United States, has selected J.D. Edwards' OneWorld(TM) network-centric software package to consolidate its business processes and increase visibility throughout the supply chain.
The nursery will implement OneWorld with the help of Sirius Computer Solutions, one of several J.D. Edwards Genesis Channel Partners that offers implementation and support services to businesses with revenues of $100 million or less.
"Eighty percent of our business, which involves shipping product to nurseries, is done during the three months of early Spring, so we needed a system that could be up and running when we need it most," said Gary Rice, MIS Director at Greenleaf.
"We selected J.D. Edwards' OneWorld based on the company's proven track record of efficient and fast implementations in the small to medium-size market and because we will benefit from J.D. Edwards' solid relationship with Sirius Computer Solutions."
J.D. Edwards' software will allow Greenleaf to integrate its payroll and human resources functionality with its financial, manufacturing, and distribution operations to accommodate the company's anticipated growth.
"Sirius Computer Solutions brings years of J.D. Edwards integrated manufacturing experience and a full array of services and solutions to the table. Greenleaf will benefit from J.D. Edwards partnership with Sirius because they will have a single point of contact for hardware, software, services, and integration of third party applications -- with one goal in mind -- solving their business issues," said Don Landrum, Sirius' Senior Vice President, Software and Services.
