Ten Visionaries To be Inducted Into Computer Industry Hall of Fame; Selected by Computer Reseller News and Boston's Computer Museum

MANHASSET, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 2, 1998--Ten computer-industry visionaries have been selected for induction into the industry Hall of Fame by the editors of CMP Media's Computer Reseller News. The select group, which has been endorsed by The Computer Museum in Boston, will be honored at an invitation-only ceremony to be held in conjunction with Fall Comdex in Las Vegas.
The 1998 inductees are:
Paul Allen, Vulcan Northwest (cofounder of Microsoft) Tim Berners-Lee, M.I.T. (developer of the World Wide Web) Dan Bricklin, Trellix Corp. (creator of Visicalc) Vint Cerf, MCI Communications, Nasdaq: WCOM, (codeveloper of networking protocol) Ross Cooley, pcOrder.com (developer of Compaq's channel program) Larry Ellison, Oracle Corp., Nasdaq: ORCL Bronson Ingram (deceased, founder of Ingram Industries) Charles Wang, Computer Associates, NYSE: CA John Warnock, Adobe Systems, Nasdaq: ADBE Steve Wozniak (cofounder of Apple Computer)

The industry Hall of Fame was created in 1997 to recognize the achievements of computer-industry visionaries. Past inductees include Bill Gates, Andrew Grove, William Hewlett, Steve Jobs, Ray Noorda and Alan Shugart.
