Pacific Access and Amdocs Sign Full IT Services Agreement for Amdocs' Complete Directory Publishing Solution

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 20, 1998--Pacific Access, Telstra Corporation Limited's Yellow Pages(R) and White Pages directory publisher in Australia, signed a six-year IT services agreement with Amdocs (NYSE: DOX) for the provision of all services related to the development and maintenance of Amdocs' full suite of directory publishing systems. The services provided by Amdocs will consist of facility management of the data center and asset management, which includes the purchase and ownership of new equipment for the data center, as well as data center operations, and maintenance of hardware and third party software. The contract also includes the upgrade of Pacific Access' sales and publishing systems to Amdocs' New Generation systems.
In addition to the upgrade of Pacific Access' publishing systems, Amdocs will provide Pacific Access with support for non-traditional products and services. Moreover, Amdocs will also take responsibility for maintenance of both Pacific Access' legacy systems and the New Generation systems. The agreement also includes Pacific Access' licensing of Amdocs' Enterprise Directory System for both domestic and Southeast Asian implementation of Pacific Access' operations.

The comprehensive scope of the outsourcing agreement groups all of the data center, asset management, development and maintenance tasks under one entity providing a single point-of-contact, while enhancing the level of service."
With 10 million residential directory customers and 800,000 business directory customers, Pacific Access is the largest Yellow Pages directory publisher in Australia, and is also the sole publisher of White Pages.
