Artecon Wins Recognition Award from the American Electronics Association's San Diego Council; Network Storage Leader Honored for Achievements in Computers, Peripherals and Software

(Nasdaq:ARTE), a global leader in high-availability open systems network- and server-attached storage solutions, has won the prestigious 1998 Electronics Industry Recognition Award from the San Diego Council of the American Electronics Association (AEA) in the category of Computers, Computer Peripherals and Software.

The annual award was presented at the AEA's San Diego Electronics Industry Recognition Awards ceremony held Oct. 19, which honors companies that have demonstrated strong financial growth, product innovation and service to the communities of San Diego.
