MTV Airs 16 Hours of Halloween `98 Programming Including Premieres Of: "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" Presents: Videos That Don't Suck and Family Values Tour Special

NEW YORK--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Oct. 20, 1998--MTV will celebrate Halloween with 16 hours of Halloween-themed programming on Thursday, October 29th, Friday, October 30th and Saturday, October 31st. Highlights include the premiere of a four-hour special video countdown, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer Presents: Videos that Don't Suck" on Saturday, October 31st from 12:00PM - 4:00PM (ET/PT). In addition, MTV will premiere "Family Values Tour Special," a one-hour concert from the current "Family Values" tour on Saturday, October 31st at 11:00PM (ET/PT).
Following is MTV's complete Halloween '98 programming lineup:
BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER PRESENTS: VIDEOS THAT DON'T SUCK
Premiere: Saturday, October 31st from 12:00PM - 4:00PM
Repeat: Saturday, October 31st from 7:00PM - 11:00PM
In this four-hour special, Sunnydale's finest, Buffy (Sarah
Michelle Gellar), Willow (Alyson Hannigan), Xandor (Nicholas Brendon),
Angel (David Boreanaz), Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter), and Oz (Seth
Green) will throw to their all-time favorite videos straight from the
"Buffy" set. MTV viewers will be granted passage to the
behind-the-scenes domain of one of their favorite shows with a tour of
Sunnydale High, the best "Buffy" clips from the show and, of course,
the casts selection of videos.
FAMILY VALUES TOUR SPECIAL
Premiere: Saturday, October 31st from 11:00PM-12:00PM
A one-hour concert from the current "Family Values" tour with
performances from Korn, Ice Cube, Limp Bizkit and Rammstein.
BEAVIS & BUTT-HEAD: BUTTOWEEN

An evening of trick-or-treating takes a strange turn when Beavis
becomes the Great Cornholio.
EYE SPY VIDEO
Airdate: Friday, October 30th at 8:00PM

A special Halloween-themed edition of "Eye Spy" with participants
dressed in costumes, pumpkins adorning the set and a "dare" for one of
the candidates - sending them into Times Square to trick-or-treat.
ALL-TIME TOP 10 SCARIEST VIDEOS

Saturday, October 31st at 5:00PM
This series of hour-long music blocks counts down the "Top 10" of
various genres of music. This hour counts down the Top 10 Scariest
Videos. Some include Scandal's "The Warrior," Michael Jackson's
"Thriller," Nine Inch Nails' "Closer," and Marilyn Manson's "Sweet
Dreams."
