TRC Awarded Contract Worth Up to $10 Million by the Federal Aviation Administration

WINDSOR, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 22, 1998--(TRC Companies, Inc.)(NYSE:TRR) TRC Environmental Corporation, a subsidiary of TRC Companies, Inc., has been competitively awarded a five-year contract worth up to $10 million from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for performing environmental investigations and the preparation of remedial designs at the FAA's William J. Hughes Technical Center, a premier 5,000 acre research and development facility located at the Atlantic City International Airport, New Jersey.
Services will range from work plan development, field sampling activities, and monitoring well installation to conducting pump tests, treatability studies, pilot-scale testing, risk assessments, tank closure plans, public meeting presentations, remedial designs and on-site support during remedial actions. TRC has been successfully performing similar environmental services at the site since September, 1986. TRC will continue to meet the needs of the FAA Technical Center's Environmental Division.
