AGISS Corporation Establishes New U.S. Subsidiary
Business Wire, Oct 23, 1998
OTTAWA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 23, 1998--AGISS Corporation (OTC BB:AGCR) announced today the creation of a brand new U.S. operating unit. "We're enthusiastic and excited by the considerable opportunities afforded by this enhanced capacity to serve the U.S. market," said Robert Sowah, AGISS CEO.
A unified, high energy, high efficiency, co-operative approach.
From its Reston, Va., headquarters (scheduled to open within a few days), AGISS Software Corporation - USA, L.L.C. will provide a suite of products and services throughout the United States identical to those of its Ottawa-based Canadian sibling, AGISS Software Corporation. The two companies will share marketing strategies, programs and materials as well as the same "best-of-breed" toolbox of automated software conversion and systems integration tools, and the same comprehensive AGISS "Remedy2000" methodology. Their initiatives will also be supported by the same international super-team of conversion project managers, analysts, software developers, engineering specialists and technicians. But the U.S. and Canadian subsidiaries will each adapt responsively to the business, cultural, infrastructure and technical nuances of their respective markets.
Dr. Melvin Scott will spearhead AGISS's U.S. initiatives, as President of the new unit. Dr. Scott is an acknowledged expert on Year 2000 and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) issues. He was most recently Chief Scientist for Boeing Information Services. "The opportunities are tremendously exciting," said Dr. Scott. "As time passes and the new millennium nears, market pressures will increase, as will the demand for our conversion expertise and our ability to respond to the broader business challenges."
