Business Wire, Oct 26, 1998
HERMOSA BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 26, 1998--
Breakthrough Solution to Facilitate Firm's International Growth
PeopleMover, Inc., a recognized leader in providing integrated enterprise software to the staffing industry and to organizations facing the dynamic challenges of today's new labor economy, has announced that AETEA Information Technology Inc. will deploy the company's flagship PeopleMover product in AETEA's information technology business recruiting and sales efforts.
PeopleMover is the only commercially available, enterprise-wide software solution to solve business-critical staffing issues. The software maximizes the allocation and scheduling of full-time employees, temporary help and free-agent talent to jobs and projects. PeopleMover also automates all practice-level staffing functions, bringing together sales, recruitment, order fulfillment, billing, payroll and management functions in a single solution.
AETEA will begin implementing the PeopleMover system in the first quarter of 1999 in an effort to maximize its IT staffing and workforce solutions business. PeopleMover will be used in all of AETEA's branch offices, which are projected to expand from the current four to nearly 20 in the United States and internationally by year-end 1999.
"PeopleMover is the right solution for us for a variety of reasons, including the scalability of its software, which will become increasingly important as we build our multi-national branch business," said Frederick M. Shulman, co-president of AETEA. "We're also impressed with both PeopleMover's management reporting features, which no other provider offers, and its Web-enabling properties, since our plans call for using the Internet to share staffing and recruiting information among offices in six countries."
"Both AETEA and PeopleMover are dedicated to creating new solutions within the enterprise workforce management software space, where the issue literally is putting the right people in the right place at the right time, day in and day out," said James L. Jonassen, founder, chairman and CEO, PeopleMover, Inc. "As the trend of business 'rightsizing' continues and corporations look for new ways to manage free-agent knowledge workers, getting the most out of these human resources will become every company's most important strategic imperative. AETEA is forward-looking and is now equipped to help its clients do just that."
PeopleMover software is deployed over a mix of client/server and Internet (including intranet and extranet) architectures. For maximum system longevity and minimized risk, the product is built on the industry-standard Oracle database running on Windows NT or UNIX over wide area networks.
