Florida Gaming Corp. Completes Sale of the Tampa Jai-Alai Real Estate

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 11, 1998--Florida Gaming Corp. (Pink Sheets:BETS) announced Friday that the sale of the Tampa Jai-Alai property is final.
The closing of the sale was completed on Sept. 8, 1998. Florida Gaming Corp. received $8.0 million cash (net of expenses), for the Tampa Jai-Alai real estate. The company retained the Tampa pari-mutuel gaming permit and certain other assets, including all gaming related equipment.
Florida Gaming Corp. is the largest Jai-Alai operator in the world. The company has three Florida pari-mutuel wagering facilities located at Miami, Fort Pierce, and Ocala which contain an aggregate of approximately 325,000 square feet of gaming space with about 6,500 gaming positions. The company offers wagering on live Jai-Alai games and Inter-Track Wagering on horse racing (thoroughbred and harness) and dog racing. In addition, poker and dominoes are played at the Crystal Card Room at the Miami facility.
