SAP R/3 Users Can Rely on TAXWARE for Property Tax Compliance TAXWARE Announces Windows-Based Property Tax System with R/3
Business Wire, Sept 16, 1998
SALEM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 16, 1998--TAXWARE International, Inc., a leading tax software developer of worldwide tax compliance systems, announced today that its Windows-based PROPERTY Tax System for real and personal property tax compliance interfaces with the SAP(tm) R/3(tm) Financials and Controlling application, enabling R/3 users to automate their property tax reporting and management process.
TAXWARE's PROPERTY Tax System inferface has been certified by SAP and uses a Business Application Programming Interface (BAPI). This solution assists in organizing and performing all the property tax functions within the corporate tax department. This latest integration adds property tax capability to the current TAXWARE product line for which the interface to R/3 has already been certified by SAP.
"Our long standing partnership with SAP allows us to now bring property tax functionality to the existing sales and use tax functionality enjoyed by R/3 users," said Dan Sullivan, CEO of TAXWARE International. "The enhanced PROPERTY Tax system's ease of use provides effortless navigation and fast access to critical asset information, making it simple for users to maintain compliance with jurisdictions. This latest integration provides mutual customers with both a comprehensive property tax management system and SAP world class financial solutions."
TAXWARE'S PROPERTY Tax System imports asset data directly from R/3 allowing users to report for multiple companies and locations in all states. PROPERTY Tax calculates values and generates ready-to-file renditions, saving R/3 users valuable time and resources. Users no longer have to prepare renditions by hand. With TAXWARE they can now spend that valuable time estimating future tax liabilities.
"We are happy to expand the TAXWARE tax compliance product family within the SAP solutions environment," stated Jeff Watkins, Vice President of Business Development for TAXWARE International. "And since many SAP R/3 clients already use TAXWARE's SALES/USE Tax System, it is a natural choice to add corporate property tax capability to fulfill compliance needs."
PROPERTY Tax is a populated system that includes critical jurisdictional data, such as real and personal property tax rates, assessment ratios, payment information, important dates and contacts. This vital information enables TAXWARE and SAP R/3 users to effectively manage their property tax reporting process. The system also associates different property classifications to different schedules, and permits rollover of the prior year's data to the current year. About TAXWARE International, Inc.
