California Pizza Kitchen to Open New Location in Trendy Los Angeles City; CPK Part of the Resurgence of Westwood Village

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 2, 1998--California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) Wednesday announced plans to open a new restaurant in Westwood Village -- a hip shopping and entertainment area of Los Angeles and home to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The new location will open in March of 1999.
The 3,900-square-foot restaurant will feature 122 indoor and 20 outdoor seats and will be located in the landmark theaters area of the city at 1001 Broxton Ave.
"We're very excited to be a part of the resurgence of Westwood Village," said CPK Co-Founder Rick Rosenfield. "This is a great community and we look forward to building a relationship here."
California Pizza Kitchen was founded in 1985 by Rick Rosenfield and Larry Flax. CPK features hearth-baked, creative pizzas and is the birthplace of the Original BBQ Chicken Pizza. CPK now has 74 full-service restaurants and 10 CPK ASAP locations throughout the United States, and two international locations.
