Marvell Semiconductor Names Gordon Steel as Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer; Mixed-signal IC Company Welcomes Industry Veteran

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 21, 1998--Marvell Semiconductor, Inc. (http://www.marvell.com) today announced the appointment of industry veteran Gordon Steel as the company's vice president of finance and chief financial officer.

An MBA graduate from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Gordon Steel brings more than 27 years of financial management experience to Marvell Semiconductor. He was at Xilinx, Inc. for more than 11 years as senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer. During Steel's tenure, the In-Stat consulting firm named Xilinx one of the best financially managed semiconductor companies for an unprecedented five times.
