TeamStudio Delta Gets "100-Fold" Performance Boost For Differential Analysis In Lotus Notes And Domino Databases
Business Wire, Sept 22, 1998
BERLIN--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 22, 1998--Ives Development, Inc. today launched the latest version of TeamStudio Delta, a differential analysis tool for Lotus Notes and Domino databases.
TeamStudio Delta helps Notes developers quickly find all differences between two Notes database templates or compare two individual design elements. It was recently awarded 'Lotus Notes & Domino Advisor "Editor's Choice" Gold award for Best Application Development Tool.'
The v1.1 upgrade of TeamStudio Delta adds sophisticated reporting capabilities such as a detailed, printable differential report. In addition, it uses a new differencing algorithm for a 100-fold performance increase over v1.0.
In a split-screen display, TeamStudio Delta shows all design elements in two different databases, aligning matching elements. For matching elements, it shows which are identical and which have differences. Optionally, developers can restrict TeamStudio Delta's display to show only elements that have differences.
TeamStudio Delta's SmartFilter masks differences that do not have a material effect on the functionality of the database. For a more detailed view of differences between design elements, TeamStudio Delta creates a display showing the exact differences between the two different versions of the element. Delta fully supports LotusScript, highlighting differences between two pieces of Script.
"While differential analysis is not a new concept in software engineering, this is the first time it has been applied to Notes and Domino development," said Nigel Cheshire, CEO of Ives Development, Inc. "The Advisor Editor's Choice Award, and now this feature enhancement, proves TeamStudio Delta's place in the Notes market."
As one of the best selling of the TeamStudio Design System Tools, users of TeamStudio Delta readily extol the benefits of differential analysis.
"As a Lotus Premium Business Partner we are often called upon to assist clients in remedying problems that have occurred after changes have been made to custom applications. TeamStudio Delta allows us to rapidly identify changes that have been applied over base code and greatly increases our efficiency in the revision and troubleshooting of modified databases. This is yet another Ives product that will pay for itself the first time you use it!" Joe King, President, Crossroad Partners. Pricing and Availability
TeamStudio Delta is currently priced at $750, which includes one year's maintenance and unlimited technical support. All TeamStudio Design System tools have a 30-day money back guarantee.
