Union Planters Corporation Announces the Quarterly Dividend On Its Common and Preferred Stock

MEMPHIS, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 15, 1999--
The Board of Directors today declared a quarterly dividend of $.50 per share on Union Planters Corporation (NYSE: UPC) Common Stock. Additionally, the Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of $.50 per share on Union Planters Corporation 8% Series E Preferred Stock. Both dividends are payable May 17, 1999 to shareholders of record on May 3, 1999.
