JMR Enters the Audiovisual Market With the Introduction of the FORTRA Fibre and LVD Rackmounts

JMR Electronics Introduces Revolutionary Rackmount Product

That Supports the Audiovisual Market

During the week of April 19-22, JMR Electronics Inc. will display its new FORTRA products at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show in Las Vegas, in Booth No. 9344 in the Sands Expo Center.

JMR will present a complete 40U cabinet system that will run uncompressed 32-bit video. The system will include eight FORTRA 10-bay fibre rackmounts, a FORTRA 10-bay rackmount PC, a Gadzoox(R) Gibraltar Fibre Channel Hub, an Ultera(R) Striper tape backup array, a DLT rackmount with five SCSI wide DLT drives, a PCI-Fibre Controller, monitor and keyboard tray.

The Fibre Channel and Ultra 2 (LVD) SCSI FORTRA(TM) rackmounts are the ideal solution for high-capacity storage subsystems. The Fibre Channel version features include dual loop expansion ports, Media Interface Adapters (MIA) support, ID address selection and built-in SAF-TE/SES with a SAF-TE link to connect SAF-TE to other FORTRA(TM) units.

This 3U rackmount is designed for up to 10 3.5-inch HH or LP SCA FCAL drives. The Ultra Wide (SE) & Ultra 2 (LVD) SCSI rackmount accommodates up to 10 3.5-inch HH (1.6-inch) or 3.5-inch LP (1-inch) drives in two device channels within the rackmount and includes automatic SCSI SE/LVD termination.

Both models include JMR's exclusive, patent-pending, advanced midplane technology, N 1 450W PFC hot-swap power supplies, hot-swap high-pressure blowers, hot-swap canisters and rails for cabinet mounting.
