Catapult, an IBM company and the nation's premier software training company, announces the launch of SystemONE Performance-Based Training (PBT).

SystemONE PBT is an integrated global software training solution that merges Catapult's proven PBT methodology and tools to allow organizations to build and deploy student-centered content locally and globally through three ways: the desktop, classroom and Internet. SystemONE PBT includes a completely open set of IT Content on 200 titles, course development tools and solutions such as Internet Course Management Systems.

"The industry has been waiting for a solution this flexible and robust. For the first time, companies can turn to one source for high quality courseware content coupled with flexible delivery options that can be easily customized to the diverse needs of global workforces," stated Tom Ruttkamp, CEO of Catapult, Inc.

SystemONE PBT offers more than 200 titles of courseware that were developed internally at Catapult to maintain consistency and adhere to high standards of quality. The courseware can be delivered through three format options: in one of Catapult's 225 classrooms across the U.S.; via Computer-Based Training (CBT) on internal corporate LANS or Intranets; or through Internet Based Learning (IBL) programs. The courseware and training formats integrate Catapult's Performance-Based Training method that is proven to build confidence and problem-solving skills to motivate students to learn.

Organizations can utilize SystemONE PBT's standard courseware, such as Microsoft Office or System 2000 courses, or can work with Catapult's development group to create a custom training solution. Catapult and IBM also offers consulting program management expertise to support global training programs.

"Organizations don't want to be boxed-in with proprietary learning technologies. SystemONE PBT sets a new standard for the industry and enables corporations to achieve Knowledge Management in order to compete in the global marketplace," said Mark Nicholas, IBM Global Development Executive, End User/Advanced PC Server Segment, IBM Learning Services. "Only Catapult and IBM Learning Services could have created such a powerful, comprehensive and easy-to-implement training solution."
