The Clean Air Company is Growing — John Zink Company, LLC Acquires Todd Combustion

TULSA, Okla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 19, 1999--
Tulsa-based John Zink Company, LLC, a Koch Industries, Inc. company, announced today the acquisition of Todd Combustion Inc., a boiler burner manufacturer in Shelton, Connecticut.
The acquisition of Todd Combustion and its patented technologies will allow John Zink to expand its combustion capabilities in the boiler burner area.
"This acquisition will enable John Zink to bring its technologically advanced Clean Air solutions to additional customers throughout the United States and around the world," said David Koch, Executive Vice President of Koch Industries. "Todd Combustion has been a leader in burner systems manufacturing for more than 80 years and we're pleased to have them become a part of John Zink and the Koch family."

Todd Combustion's manufacturing component will be moved to John Zink's Tulsa and Skiatook, Oklahoma, manufacturing facilities. Engineering and sales functions will remain in Shelton.
Also included in the acquisition are Todd Credfeld, Ltd. and Camtorc, Ltd., two U.K.-based companies involved in the design and manufacture of power boiler burners, pulverized coal light-up burners and control systems. Todd acquired Credfeld Camtorc Ltd. in 1994, providing a platform for worldwide marketing of Todd's product line.
Many of the largest companies in the aerospace, automobile, chemical, food processing, petrochemical, refining and pulp and paper markets have installed Todd low N0x burners in their plants. Todd has also supplied low N0x burners for the CIA, Kennedy Space Center, correctional facilities, hospitals, universities and military bases.
John Zink was founded in 1929 and, since 1989, has been part of Koch Industries Inc. John Zink is part of a group of Koch companies which specialize in designing, manufacturing and marketing equipment that provides environmental solutions to many industries and communities worldwide.
