WAYNE, NJ--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 20, 1999--
The Auxer Group, Inc. (OTC-BB "AXGI") announced today that it has renewed their agreement for services with the financial consulting firm PMR and Associates. PMR and Associates provides consulting services to private and public companies in areas ranging from corporate finance, acquisitions, business development and investor relations. Under the leadership of Patrick M. Rost, PMR and Associates has developed a strong track record in creating shareholder value for numerous NASDAQ and OTC clients by integrating a broad range of services into the corporate strategy of its' client companies.
Additionally, Auxer is in the final phases of hiring a professional marketing director and an experienced firm to assist in marketing, advertising and promotional campaigns for the remainder of 1999 and 2000. The new marketing team will be assigned the task of developing a strategy to re-energize the image of Garry's(R) Royal Satin, our wax, polish and car/marine care line as well as strategically position Formula 2000(TM) The Next Generation in Engine Treatment(TM). The team intends to incorporate all phases of media to include the Internet and Auxer's new websites. "We are very excited about the extraordinary potential that Garry's represents with a professional marketing strategy and campaign. This 70 year old brand name was virtually a "household name" during the 1960's through the 1980s and has retained a surprisingly loyal customer-base with a limited marketing budget during the 1990s, however we believe current sales only represent a small fraction of its previous customers. Once Garry's is consistently presented to the public, we believe a significant increase in sales will result as previous customers return," said Eugene Chiaramonte, Jr., Chairman of The Auxer Group.
