Star Gas Declares Increased Quarterly Distribution of $0.575

STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 23, 1999--

Star Gas Partners, L.P. (NYSE:SGU) announced today that it has increased its regularly scheduled quarterly distribution, payable to common unitholders, by 4.5% from $0.55 per common unit to $0.575 per common unit. This distribution for the three months ended March 31, 1999 will be paid on May 14, 1999 to common unitholders of record as of May 4, 1999. Star Gas common units trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol SGU. Star Gas Senior Subordinated Unitholders (NYSE:SGH) are eligible to receive distributions beginning February 2000.
