Combines mainframe and desktop suites with innovative software
infrastructure and comprehensive services to rapidly implement and
effectively manage application changes
SERENA Software, Inc. (Nasdaq:SRNA), an industry-leading supplier of enterprise software change management solutions, today announced its FULL.CYCLE(TM) Enterprise Solution. The integrated set of industry-leading software products, an open cross-platform architecture and comprehensive consulting services enable businesses worldwide to quickly and effectively manage application changes across the enterprise at any phase of the application life cycle.
The FULL.CYCLE Enterprise Solution allows organizations to control the complexity of IT systems and improve return on investments so that customers can focus on addressing core business issues. FULL.CYCLE Enterprise will offer an end-to-end software change management (SCM) solution, which links the pre-deployment development cycle with the post-deployment operational cycle. As a result, customers have the flexibility to incorporate new methods of software development, including the web, object technology and other emerging technologies that meet their individual business needs.
"We have an industry-leading reputation for delivering scalable, reliable and flexible software change management solutions," said Richard A. Doerr, President and CEO of SERENA Software. He added, "The FULL.CYCLE Enterprise Solution ensures that our customers can have the technologies and practices they need to solve the formidable and mission-critical tasks of today's complex IT environment."
"There is a crying need in the industry for an enterprise-wide software change management solution," said Perry Harris, Director of Management Strategies, The Yankee Group. "I'm glad to see a company starting to address this issue."
According to survey results from SoundView Technology Group, delivery of an enterprise change management solution is highly desired. The survey reported that mainframe computers remain a key development platform, but Windows NT represents the largest single operating system for application deployment.
