proven technology to Digital broadcast TV at
NAB show, booth No. S2559
A version of the leading-edge, multi-channel digital operating software proven in two-thirds of the world's DTH operations is being introduced to the broadcast TV market by SunUp Digital Systems.
The world leader in managing digital multi-channel broadcast operations, SunUp is releasing a version of its TCS Operating System for digital broadcast TV at the National Association of Broadcasters show, booth No. S2559.
TCS for broadcast TV delivers unprecedented bandwidth management, workflow synchronization and back-end reporting, according to SunUp executive vice president Richard Levy.
Levy added that the system is standards-based, and interoperable with all leading compression and delivery systems. Beyond that, TCS brings new automation to tasks as varied as conditional access, fulfillment reporting, subscription billing, trafficking physical media and positioning antennas.
"Establishing a single, scalable, customized point of control, TCS is a total solution to new digital and multi-channel challenges facing broadcast TV operators," said SunUp's Levy. "TCS for broadcast seamlessly links and controls all facets in the process of acquiring content, storing and managing media, and broadcasting massively dynamic digital content streams."
"Direct, human oversight simply isn't an option in a complex, multi-channel broadcast environment involving simultaneous broadcasts, management of interactive orders from scores of end-user consumers, and dynamic control of compression parameters," said Levy. "You would need a staff of hundreds to even consider managing the level of rationalized work that is simplified by TCS."
Based in San Jose, CA, SunUp Digital Systems is the recognized market leader in high performance, end-to-end operations management and synchronization systems for multi-channel broadcasting. SunUp was founded in 1992 by a team of pioneers in the field of object oriented technology. The company is dedicated to developing and marketing software operating systems that bring savings and sophisticated functionality to digital broadcasting, satellite, cable television and datacasting operations.
