Corvis Names Glenn Falcao Executive Vice President; Nortel-ex Brings Extensive Internet Services Expertise to Marketing and Business Development Sectors

Corvis Corporation, which has introduced the world's first all-optical communications network, today announced that Glenn Falcao has joined the company as Executive Vice President. Mr. Falcao most recently served as President of Nortel Networks' Internet and Service Provider business, one of the fastest-growing businesses in that company's portfolio.
The appointment of Mr. Falcao enhances greatly the Internet expertise of Corvis' executive management team, led by President and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. David Huber.

Mr. Falcao's management experience with Nortel Networks included responsibility for the Internet Access products including Remote Access, DSL, Voice /Data Integrated Access and Internet Telephony. In addition, he held numerous general management and key marketing positions in the company. Falcao was instrumental in launching Nortel Networks' SONET business and introduced the first "plug-and-play" DSL product to the market. He played a key role in developing both the CLEC and ISP markets for the company. Mr. Falcao has an Engineering degree from McGill University in Montreal.
