Stull, Stull & Brody Announces Class Action Against Waste Management, Inc

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 16, 1999--

The following was announced today by Stull, Stull & Brody:

Notice is hereby given that a class action lawsuit was filed on August 16, 1999, in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas on behalf of all persons who purchased the common stock of Waste Management, Inc., (NYSE:WMI) ("Waste Management" or the "Company") between June 10, 1998, and August 3, 1999 (the "Class Period").

The Complaint alleges that Waste Management and certain of its officers and directors violated the federal securities laws. According to the Complaint, during the Class Period, defendants issued a series of materially false and misleading public statements regarding the Company's financial condition and business prospects. The lawsuit seeks to recover damages on behalf of all class members who purchased or otherwise acquired shares of Waste Management common stock during the Class Period (the "Class").

Plaintiff seeks to recover damages on behalf of class members and is represented by, among others, the law firm of Stull, Stull & Brody. Stull, Stull & Brody has litigated many class actions for violations of securities laws in federal courts over the past 25 years and has obtained court approval of substantial settlements on numerous occasions.

If you are a member of the class described above, you may, not later than September 7, 1999, move the Court to serve as lead plaintiff of the class, if you so choose. In order to serve as lead plaintiff, however, you must meet certain legal requirements.
