PETsMART Names Lynne Adams Director of Public Relations

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 18, 1999--
PETsMART, Inc. (Nasdaq:PETM) has named Lynne Adams director of public relations. In the newly created role, Adams will be responsible for public and community relations strategies, media relations, corporate communications and program publicity. In addition, she will support the company's investor and financial communications functions.
Most recently, Adams was manager of external communications for Phelps Dodge Corporation, a global mining and manufacturing company based in Phoenix. Prior to that, she worked in public relations positions with Arizona Public Service Company and with Hill & Knowlton, Inc., one of the world's largest public relations firms.
Adams holds a bachelor of arts degree in communications from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn., and is an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America. She owns two Vizsla dogs, Calhoun and Clarence.
