DVDO Selects Matsushita to Market Video Processing Integrated Circuits in Japan

DVDO, Inc. announced today that it has selected the Corporate International Trade Division (CITD) of Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd. of Tokyo to distribute DVDO's line of Digital Video Format Conversion chip solutions to the manufacturers of digital TVs, projection systems, and flat panel displays.

DVDO's new integrated circuit, the DV101 Image Enhancement Engine(TM), is in volume production and uses DVDO's proprietary PureProgressive(TM) video enhancement technology for which the company has 13 U.S. and international patents pending. The DV101 is used in DVDO's consumer video processing line doubler, the iScan(TM) Plus, and is now available for Japanese manufacturers to include in their designs for digital TV, LCD, Plasma, and DLP projection systems, and other progressively scanned display devices.
