Encore Wire Promotes Three to Vice President and Names New National Accounts Sales Person

MCKINNEY, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 23, 1999--
Encore Wire Corporation (Nasdaq/NMS:WIRE) today announced that its wire and cable subsidiary has promoted three executives to vice president and named a new national accounts sales person.
Jon Heiges was named vice president of sales and marketing. Jon has been national accounts sales manager since joining Encore in 1996.
Janet Sander was named vice president/director of purchasing. She has been the director of purchasing since joining Encore in 1996.
Gary Spence was named vice president of non-ferrous metals. He has been the rod mill manager since joining Encore in 1996.
Ed Lenahan was named national accounts sales person effective September 1. He will join Encore with twenty-five years experience in the electrical industry. Most recently, Mr. Lenahan was vice president of sales, eastern region for the Essex Group. Prior to Essex, he spent twenty years with General Cable Corporation in various capacities culminating in his appointment as vice president of sales.
