Devine In License Agreement With Odyssey Network in the U.S

TORONTO--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Aug. 26, 1999--
Films to commence airing in October with Fall launch of the new
Hallmark & Henson network
Devine Entertainment Corporation (TSE:DVN) today announced that it has licensed 13 one-hour programs to Odyssey, a Hallmark & Henson Network. Odyssey is carried by TCI Cable with a subscriber base of nearly 29 million viewers. Multiple broadcasts of each episode will be accompanied by Devine's direct response advertisement which features a toll-free order number to sell videos directly to viewers. The programs will premiere Sunday evenings, the peak family viewing period. The Company expects these primetime broadcasts to have a positive impact on video sales of its films.
The agreement with Odyssey is the third in a series of significant transactions, bringing the total revenues announced in the past six weeks to over US$1,000,000.
The sale includes The Inventors' Specials, which recently won three Emmy Awards out of nine nominations and The Composers' Specials, winner of the CableACE award for Best Youth Series. The broadcasts will also display the address of Devine's new e-commerce website.
