CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 3, 1999--

McHenry Metals Golf Corp's (OTCBB:GLFN) president, Bradley J. Wilhite, announced today the Company's TourPure driver is ranked no. 1 in "Driving Accuracy" on both the PGA Tour and the Senior PGA Tour.

Fred Funk leads the PGA Tour with 80.2% driving accuracy, while Bud Allin leads the Senior PGA Tour with 81.0% driving accuracy.

The TourPure driver, the no. 1 driver model on the Senior PGA Tour (see note A) for 22 out of 24 weeks, also has recorded eleven combined professional tour wins since it was introduced last season. In independent testing, the TourPure driver delivered greater distance than its leading competitors.

"The TourPure driver's rapid ascent to the top of the professional tours clearly demonstrates its performance advantages," said Wilhite. "Most importantly, it has been proven many times in our industry that a leadership position on the professional tours leads to growth in consumer awareness, demand, and market share."

McHenry Metals develops and markets a complete line of TourPure drivers and fairway woods -- the first metalwoods to combine the forgiveness of titanium with the power of tungsten. The Company's inspirational founder, Gary Adams, who is generally regarded as the "father of the metalwood," also founded Taylor Made Golf Company.

The Company has accounts with approximately 1,650 premium golf shops nationwide. For the name of a TourPure golf shop or retailer near you, please call 888/822-4900 or visit our website at: www.mchenrymetalsgolf.com.
