Tarrant Apparel Group's Chief Executive Officer Purchases 100,000 Shares of Common Stock

Tarrant Apparel Group (Nasdaq:TAGS), a leading provider of private label casual apparel, today announced that Gerard Guez, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, purchased 100,000 shares of the Company's common stock increasing his holdings to 5,433,333 shares. Mr. Guez purchased the shares on August 25 and 27 at prices ranging from approximately $14.70 per share to $15.38 per share.

Tarrant Apparel Group serves both specialty retail and mass merchandise store chains by designing, merchandising, contracting for the manufacture of and selling casual, moderately-priced apparel, for women, men and children, under private label.
