Steve Finney Named Senior Vice President, Finance and Business Planning, at Disney Interactive

BURBANK, Calif.--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Aug. 30, 1999--
Steve Finney has been promoted to senior vice president in charge of finance and business planning at Disney Interactive, it was announced Monday by Jan Smith, executive vice president and general manager, Disney Interactive, and Tom Conforti, executive vice president, Global Merchandise Licensing.
Finney joined Disney Interactive in August 1997 as vice president and chief financial officer, with responsibility for finance, operations and business planning for the business unit worldwide. Under his management, Disney Interactive, a part of Disney Consumer Products, has seen significant growth and achieved increased profitability.
"Steve has been a key contributor in the strong performance of Disney Interactive," said Smith. "He has been instrumental in expanding our reach through focused category segmentation across the various interactive platforms, as well as facilitating increased operational efficiency."
Finney will continue to work closely with Smith in the overall management of Disney Interactive.
Finney's distinguished history with The Walt Disney Co. includes serving as chief financial officer for Disney Direct Marketing (The Disney Catalog); vice president, finance, for the Disney Store, North America; and vice president, finance, Walt Disney Records.
