Business Wire, August 31, 1999
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 31, 1999--
MedSearch Technologies, Inc. (OTC BB: MDSX) today announced that it has completed the acquisition of M&W Medical Supply, LLC. M&W is a research and development company with patents on a product called the "SCOPESHIELD(TM)"; a patented, disposable, anti-microbial stethoscope cover which reduces the risk of cross infection between patients and does not affect acoustical performance.
We at MedSearch are aware of the need for infection control procedures due to communicable, drug-resistant illnesses such as HIV and Tuberculosis. According to the American Medical Association (AMA), over 96% of all stethoscopes carry staphylococcus bacteria and other bacteria, virus and fungi that are easily transmitted.

Jacob Meller, President and Chairman of MedSearch Technologies stated, "The market for this product is tremendous. Over 9 billion stethoscope examinations are performed in the US annually. We believe use of the SCOPESHIELD(TM) will become standard infection control procedure, similar to the use of latex gloves and thermometer covers."
