AirTran Airways Presents: Wings Over Dixie `99 Airshow and Festival

ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 31, 1999--

The Wings Over Dixie `99 Airshow and Festival will take place Saturday, Sept. 11, and Sunday, Sept. 12, 1999, at Falcon Field in Peachtree City, Ga. The gates open at 9:00 a.m. and the Airshow begins at 1:00 p.m. As the official presenting sponsor of the Wings Over Dixie '99 Airshow and Festival, AirTran Airways will also host an on-site exhibition booth and will provide round-trip air travel tickets to be given away during the event.

Atlanta's only airshow for 1999 will feature Dan McClung and the Red Eagle performance team, Earthquake II Jet Truck, Army Command Exhibition Parachute Team, Army helicopter and fighter jet fly-overs, including the B-1 bomber, plus a wide variety of rare vintage and modern military aircraft. New to this year's airshow is "Kidport '99" with rides and activities for children, and of course, family-friendly concessions, with funds benefiting local charities.

Tickets at the gate cost $10 for adults, $5 for children 6-18, children under six will be admitted free of charge. Portions of the proceeds benefit the Fayette Youth Protection Home. Advance tickets are available through Ticketmaster. For additional information call 770/632-6688.
