MARINA DEL REY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 9, 1999--

Deloitte & Touche Recognizes Guidance as One of

Los Angeles' Fastest-Growing Technology Companies in the

"1999 Los Angeles Technology Fast 50" Program

Guidance Solutions Inc. Monday announced they have been recognized by Deloitte & Touche as a fast growing e-business developer utilizing venture partnerships to transform the model for e-business development.

The company was named a finalist by the nation's leading professional services firm in the "1999 Los Angeles Technology Fast 50" Program. Founded in 1993, Guidance has produced more than 30 e-businesses and formed nine successful venture partnerships.

"We are pleased to be recognized by Deloitte & Touche for our tremendous growth and ability to transform the development and incubation of e-businesses," said Robert Landes, chief executive officer, Guidance Solutions. "This is a nod to the success of our venture partners who have enabled Guidance to become one of the fastest-growing companies in Los Angeles."

Innovative Online Business Development Model

Guidance partners with traditional businesses or startups to invest the human and development capital critical for a competitive e-business.

"Traditional retail and entertainment businesses have felt the pressure of leveraging their brick and mortar assets online to form e-businesses. A partnership with Guidance provides them with the safety net they need to quickly succeed and stay competitive for the long haul," said Landes.

Unlike incubators and Web developers, Guidance offers its partners control of their e-business development through joint-ownership and an alignment of interests in the new Internet company. Guidance provides the partner with a business strategy and experienced development team in exchange for reduced partner rates and equity ownership in the new e-business.

Partners are chosen based on a selective criterion that allows for the effective execution of business strategy, creative design and technical systems integration, ensuring rapid time-to-market and sustainable e-business growth. With online business development, Guidance has combined the vision and expertise of an incubator with the core competence of a leading e-commerce developer into one company focused on the interests of its venture partners.

Fast-Growing Technology Company

Guidance will be recognized as one of Los Angeles' fastest-growing technology companies, along with the other finalists at an awards ceremony to be held on Sept. 16, 1999 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel where the final ranking by revenue growth will be revealed.

All finalists will also be considered for the Deloitte & Touche "Technology Fast 500," a national ranking which will culminate in a technology CEO conference next year in Orlando, Fla.

"We are excited to recognize Guidance Solutions as one of the fastest growing technology companies in the Los Angeles region," said Tim Lovoy, Southern California high technology practice leader, Deloitte & Touche. "The company's continued success will help to strengthen the Los Angeles region both economically and technologically."
