Business Wire, August 9, 1999
BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 9, 1999--
Customers Benefit From Jointly Developed Solutions for Access to
and Management of Enterprise Information
Attachmate Corporation today introduced the Attachmate(R) Partner Network, an enhanced partner program designed to provide customers integrated solutions for accessing enterprise information.
In response to the ever-increasing market demand for manageable, multi-vendor web-to-host solutions, Attachmate is building on its current partner program and is making engineering resources available to Strategic Partners to jointly develop or integrate technologies. For companies looking for other types of partnerships, Attachmate is also introducing Preferred and Select Partner programs. The Partner Network is tailored for varying business needs -- from technical application integration to special pricing, and from advance product releases to specialized support and training.
"Partnerships are becoming a critical piece of the global business landscape today. To provide customers with the most optimized solutions, vendors need to team up at all levels of customer interaction," said Stephen Graham, vice president of International Data Corporation's Global Software Channel and Alliance Strategies group. "Attachmate's Partner Network program is designed to provide the company and its partners with a logical framework to conduct business together -- from general marketing and sales assistance to strategic relationships that facilitate joint technology solutions and marketing initiatives."
Different levels for different needs. Attachmate and its Strategic Partners leverage each other's expertise to produce solutions for customers on a national or international basis. The entire Attachmate planning and development organization is actively involved in these specialized offerings. Preferred Partners team with Attachmate to provide joint technology, training, or support for mutual customers. The Select Partner level is for those organizations looking for ongoing access to Attachmate technology and product information.
Current members of the Attachmate Partner Network are Aventail, BEA/WebLogic, Blue Lobster, Candle Corporation, Cisco, Citrix Systems, Compaq, Computer Associates, CyberSafe, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Microsoft, Netscape, Packeteer, Security Dynamics/RSA, Sun, and Unisys Corporation.
