Scient Appoints Dr. Kenichi Ohmae to Board of Directors; Former McKinsey & Co. Partner Joins Scient's World-Class Board

Scient (NASDAQ: SCNT), The eBusiness Systems Innovator(TM), today announced the appointment of Dr. Kenichi Ohmae, founder and Managing Director of Ohmae & Associates, to its Board of Directors. Ohmae is a highly respected strategy consultant who spent 23 years as a partner in the international management consulting firm McKinsey & Company. As a co-founder of McKinsey's strategic management practice, he has served companies in a wide range of industries, and his expertise is currently sought out by many Asian-, European-, and North American-based multinational and governmental institutions.

He is also the founder of "Reform of Heisei," a citizens' political movement established to promote and catalyze the reform of Japan's political and administrative systems. In addition, Ohmae serves as a councilor and director of the Bond University, and is on the Board of Soft Bank and the Center for Advanced Studies of Management of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. In the recent past, he has served on the Boards of Nike and MIT Corporation.
