Mediacom Ventures LLC Names Managing Director and CFO; Addition Brings High Level Financial Expertise to Company

Mediacom Ventures LLC, the managing member of Mediacom Capital Holdings LLC that was established to make equity investments in telephony and Internet-related companies, today announced the appointment of Emilio Sotil to the position of Managing Director and CFO.

The newly named Managing Director and CFO, Emilio Sotil, previously held director and managing director positions with Salomon Smith Barney and Bear Sterns & Co. At Salomon Smith Barney, Mr. Sotil was responsible for coverage of the Software Sector, including both Enterprise and PC software.

Previously, Mr. Sotil served as Managing Director at Bear Sterns & Co. Inc.'s Media Investment Banking Group, where his responsibilities included servicing Internet content companies. Prior thereto, Mr. Sotil served as managing Director of Desarrollo Axis in Mexico City, a $250 million private equity fund specializing in Latin American media acquisitions.
