Newstream.com Names Online Media Relations Manager; Expands Online Media and Multimedia Production Team

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 15, 1999--
Karena Piedmont, co-founder, former publisher, and managing editor of Every Woman Magazine has been named Online Media Relations Manager of Newstream.com, the premier Internet portal for the delivery of multimedia content to online news sites, it was announced today.
Newstream.com, a joint venture of Business Wire and Medialink Worldwide Incorporated (Nasdaq: MDLK), distributes news releases, streaming audio and video, live webcasts, photographs, corporate graphics and logos, financial information, and other content required by thousands of online news sites.
Piedmont will develop strategy for media relations and client and customer service efforts, and manage Newstream.com's monitoring database. She will report to Lidj Lewis, Vice President of Media Relations, Newstream.com.

She possesses solid research and client service skills, which she used as a management consultant for New York University and as vice president of public relations for Students for Responsible Business at NYU's Stern Business School. She has an MA degree in Public Administration from NYU. She, too, will report to Lewis.
Newstream.com also appointed Domingo Nuno as Multimedia Producer and Dawn Xavier as Associate Producer. Nuno spent five years as a photo editor at global information leader Business Wire. A talented artist, designer and editor, he holds an MFA degree from San Francisco State University. Xavier joins Newstream.com from Reuters America, where she specialized in economic and business articles. Nuno and Xavier will report to Newstream.com's Managing Editor Les Blatt.
