Coco's and Carrows Restaurants Name New Marketing Vice President; Restaurant Industry Veteran to Lead Marketing Transformation At Coco's and Carrows

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 16, 1999--

Coco's and Carrows restaurants Thursday announced that Jim Fisher has joined the regional family restaurant chains as vice president of marketing.

In this role, Fisher will champion and oversee all marketing activity for both Coco's and Carrows restaurants including corporate positioning, promotional activity and advertising for each brand.

Fisher joins Coco's and Carrows most recently from Sodexho Marriott Services, Schools Division where he served as vice president of marketing and product development. Previously, Fisher held senior marketing positions at Cracker Barrel, Bakers Square, Shakey's and Pizza Hut.

"With a marketing career spanning more than 25 years, Jim brings to Coco's and Carrows a wealth of marketing expertise in the family dining segment of the restaurant industry," said Craig Bushey, president of Coco's and Carrows. Fisher's background includes an impressive track record in developing strategies to improve sales and grow market share in diverse and competitive restaurant environments. Fisher holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Yale University and a master of business administration degree from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business. He is based at Coco's and Carrows headquarters in Irvine.

Coco's and Carrows operate 184 and 148, respectively, full-service family restaurants concentrated in the Western United States. The chains are subsidiaries of Advantica Restaurant Group Inc. (Nasdaq:DINE), one of the nation's largest full-service family restaurant chains.
